An American painter, born in England, Tim Bavington is best known for his adaptations of musical scales to abstract painting. In the last decade, his work expanded into public sculpture.

Bavington lives and works in Las Vegas. He is the Lenahan Saltman Thomas & Mack Professor of Painting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
